Nevada Gaming Commission Approves Wynn Resorts’ COO with a Reminder to Rebuild Trust
Last week, the Nevada Gaming Commission gave the green light to Brian Gullbrants, the chief operating officer of Wynn Resorts, with a reminder to the company to stay on track and rebuild trust. Troubled Past Continues to Haunt Wynn Resorts
Wynn Resorts has faced multiple fines and compliance failures in recent years, tarnishing its reputation. The company, set to open the first regulated casino resort in the Middle East, has dealt with hefty penalties, including a $130 million forfeiture to the federal government for anti-money laundering violations and a $5.5 million fine from Nevada regulators.
In 2019, the company was hit with a $20 million penalty for not properly investigating sexual misconduct claims against former CEO Steve Wynn. Massachusetts regulators also imposed fines of $35.5 million for failing to disclose these allegations.
